For the past 20 years, I've been helping people change their lives for the better.  I have worked with a variety of people, from all walks of life who have come to me for help with various problems. 

 

My training is rooted in the Psychodynamic and Psychoanalytic traditions.

My style is collaborative.  Together we do a deep dive exploration of your inner life.  Why? Your external life, your general day to day, is in full view.  So far, the answers have not been found there.  The idea is that the roots of your struggle lie beneath the surface, often out of awareness (which is why we find ourselves repeating our same misery in different relationships). 

 

We work together to uncover long-standing ways of thinking, feeling, along with beliefs and judgements that have contributed to your current struggle. Armed with this new insight and awareness, combined with an understanding of how experiences shape your nervous system, patterns of thinking and relating, we can begin to make more conscious decisions about where to go next in your life.  Things begin to change for you and this change is long lasting. 

 

In addition to depth relational therapy, I also pull from Trauma Informed Practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). 

 

I am LGBTQIA friendly and welcome people who are members of marginalized communities into my practice.  I am dedicated to continuing my own growth and understanding in serving people who are a part of groups I am not.
